Sciatica Pain Relief with Clinical Somatics
Join Clinical Somatic Educator Sarah Warren St. Pierre as she guides you through a Somatic movement class in the comfort of your home. Somatic exercises allow you to release chronic muscle tension and pain caused by habitual movement patterns, overuse, injury and stress.
Sciatica pain is typically caused by tight lower back muscles compressing the lumbar vertebrae, thereby compressing the sciatic nerve as it exits the spinal cord. Piriformis Syndrome is caused by a tight piriformis (a gluteal muscle) compressing the sciatic nerve as it runs underneath the muscle.
In this instructional audio recording, you will learn exercises that you can do on a daily basis to relieve Sciatica and Piriformis Syndrome pain by releasing chronically contracted back and gluteal muscles. Clinical Somatic Education is gentle, therapeutic, and suitable for all ages and physical abilities. The full class is 70 minutes long, and also included is a 40-minute Daily Practice Class to be used once you are comfortable with the exercises.
